Venum Challenger 2.0 Boxing Gloves Review

Venum Challenger 2.0 Boxing GlovesVenum Challenger 2.0 Boxing Gloves are designed and designed in Thailand, a country where Muay Thai is arguably more popular than boxing. The first couple of pairs were worn by Muay Thai fighters. Many use the gloves for bag work and sparring; and almost all of them love the gloves because of how well they’re put together.

Recently, the brand is rising in popularity. After seeing Venum more and more in boxing gyms, a bunch of people got interested. We were, too, so we decided to do an extensive research and here are some of the things we found out:

DURABLE DUE TO PU LEATHER

PU leather, also known as Bicast leather, is a material made of polyurethane. It is a synthetic leather that makes the gloves tough and durable. The gloves have a split leather backing covered by a layer of PU leather on the surface. They are then embossed with it.

Aside from that, Venum boxing gloves also feature a triple density foam. This makes the gloves firm and great for hand protection. There will be minimal (if any) injury issues with these on and they feel great once worn, too.

A PERFECT FIT FOR “NORMAL-SIZED” HANDS

If you have big meaty heavy hands, time to look for gloves elsewhere. They will be uncomfortably tight on you. It’s also dangerous to train with these if you have big hands because it will make your hands sore and prone to injuries. However, for most people these are a perfect fit.

The gloves have a curved anatomical shape, which means you have to break it in. It’s a bit snug, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. You’ll also experience stiffness when you clinch your fist at first use.

Most of the negative reviews are from people that find the gloves uncomfortably tight or too small. Other concerns are also raised like the gloves being hot inside and it does not have good ventilation. As mentioned earlier, these gloves aren’t for people with big hands. The complaints could be attributed to people having above-average sized hands.

It seems that every person who bought the product has “normal-sized” hands. Around 2 out of 10 people only raised the concerns. Overall, the reviews were positive. CONCLUSION

Venum has four “series” of gloves - the Contender Series, Challenger 2.0 Series, Elite Series, and Absolute Series. The Venum Challnger 2.0 Boxing Gloves are the best value for money.

These gloves aren’t for competition. They are also not at that price point. However, you will really appreciate this if you’re just starting out or use these for fitness. It’s snug fit, but it won’t harm your arms, wrists and hands because the cushion of the padding is excellent.
